Default SLP Performance Pac or Best of the Best?

i was looking at mods for an 03/04 cobra and i came down to 2 choices. the SLP performance package(intake, exhuast, pulleys, tuner, etc) or go all out and buy the best bolt ons from different companies.

1. heres the SLP set up:
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

2. Custom list:
Billetflow 2.8" pulley
Metco idler pulley
Borla Stinger Cat Back
Bassani Offroad X-pipe
JLT Cold Air Intake
Professional Dyno tune

im pretty sure they are both around the same price.. i never had a dyno tune so if someone could tell me what to expect to pay that would help.. ive heard with the slp pack 575hp and a mid to high 11sec 1/4mile is very possible. im not too sure about my custom list but i bet it would sound sweeeeeeet Would i have to swap my IRS to support the power if it was 500-575?
any input here is appreciated!!

Not seeing 575rwhp out of the SLP package,Or your list.SLP used to build the SS comraos then they started building stang parts when the F-bodies died out. With the 2.80 upper and all the idlers,X-pipe and catback, and a good CAI you should be pushing 450 to 460rwhp with a good dyno tune. The tune will cost you around 250.00 but it includes 3 dyno runs, which let you see the A/F ratio which is very important with these cars..It should be around 11.8 with a upper pulley..Good luck and take it to a good shop that has a great rep..The Tune is everything..

I never have been able to reconcile SLP building F body crap. Lucky for them they get to start back on it in a few more years.

horsepower is to the crank NOT rwhp.. im not a fan of SLP either but i was just curious about the package because it seemed like a decent deal. im just looking to get into the mid to high 11s and have a real beastly exhaust note. do you think my own list will get me that?

I like your custom kit better. With proper driving technique and a set of sticky rubber I think you will meet your goal.

Dyno tuning is around $450-500.
IMO, it is worth it if your mods justify it.
