just my .02. if you plan on supercharging? the 98 went with the returnless fuel system. it makes it harder to supercharge than the 96-97 that has the return line in the fuel system. and remember that the 96 had the over heating problem. so look for a 97.

My advice is: put 15 grand down, get a 10 grand loan and buy an 03/04 Cobra. They are already supercharged. Which will save you money in the future.

Then put a Saleen sticker or a Roush sticker or even a Chevy sticker wherever the hell you want to, because it is your car and your choice, not anyone elses. Then, if anyone gives you crap tell them: "Go f**k yourself" then go piss on there car, literally, take a piss on there car.

Trust me that one gets em every time, the old "I pissed on your car bit" Its a classic, and it works well. Good luck!!

I had a 94 GT with an automatic and had fun with it, then look at an auction site here in Japan and there it was... a 97 cobra 5spd with 33,000 miles, I ended up paying $6K with exchange. Wow what an upgrade from a GT! Good deals are out there, take your time and look around. I agree with Nazz, I fell in love as soon as I got behind the wheel. After reading the other posts, I feel like running out and getting a SALEEN sticker because I can... ITS MY CAR! not anyone elses. Good luck hunting and sorry for your loss of a nice looking mustang.
