Could anyone tell me how to get the SVT certficate for a used 1996 SVT Cobra? I looked on Fords SVT site and the Ford site itself, but no luck finding out anyway. Is it even possible to get the certificate after the original has been lost by the previous owner(s)?

You could try the SVT registry. I think it is svtregistry.com. Not sure though.

I believe if you call 1-800-Ford-SVT they can hook you up, it's gonna cost you $40 bucks though, $30 if you're an SVTOA member

Go thru www.svt.com website. It will ask you for the vin# and other info. It will take a couple of weeks. They will mail you a letter thanking you for the purchase of the svt and also and a certificate showing all the info. for the vehicle. Hope this helps. This is my 2nd svt and I've gotten certificates for both.

www.svt.com doesnt seem to be what we are looking for as far as getting the certificate goes.

Ford changed it. Now you have to pay for a certificate.

Dang...$40.00 just for a piece of paper to show the build number and probably where it was built. LOL

Talk about a money making scheme! LOL Although, I'm sure I'll do it for my '96 Cobra as well. Kind of one of those things you just "have to have" for a car like that. LOL

I just can't believe it's $40...PLUS shipping! LOL I could understand $20, but $40?! :-O

oh well...that's the price you pay for a "special vehicle" ;-)
