Hey guys, I have a stock 97 cobra convertible and my cd player quit on me today. It will take the disc, and starts to read it-then stops and spits it back out. It was working perfectly until today. Is this a common problem? I could buy a better head unit, but I would much rather put that money into a catback...

Ford wants 200$ just to send it off so it is better to just go with a aftermarket radio.

Go to ebay. Be patient and make sure you get a cd unit from 97 or above. Before like 96 the cd units made a clicking sound when they played. Annoying little thing. Search MACH 460 when you get on ebay under parts and accessories. You can probably get one pretty cheap and it's just as good as new. Also, make sure it's bench tested and works.
