Anyone have a Canton reservoir on their Mustang?

Does anyone have a Canton reservoir on their car and had it to crack in the weld and leak?

Yep sure did....brought it to my speed shop guy and he re-welded cracked area. Alot of the canton tanks do that....my buddy has an 04 as well, and his tank cracked too. Thor at Canton was nice about it and offered to replace it but i didnt feel like putting the stock plastic one back on.

Tick Tick Tick Boom. It does look better than stock, but sooner or later, the weld will split and its a pain in the a** to clean up. I'm still smelling the antifreeze at times. Smell doesn't seem to want to go away even after all the washings. Ofcourse, it would help to put more than 30 miles on it.

Got the stock put back on and clean it up again. Everything is back to normal and the smell is gone. Finally, I can continue with everything else.

Canton is replacing these at no charge with a new unit (revised). been hearing this alot on all the forums i belong to i mean ALOT !

I spoke with Canton the first of July. There were a unreal amount of these things bursting. I think I will keep my stock on for another year or so. If there are no problems with their revise version, I may or may not change it back.
