I have a stock 96 cobra with NO modifications other than cold induction and 4:10 gears. They do not make a diablo for my 96 cobra so I purchase a SCT flash device.

The web site says 10 rwhp. I installed SCT flash device and drove around thinking I had just increased my hp & torque by 10 rwhp.

I went today and paid $100.00 to have my car dynoed. I had three pulls. The guy comes back and says, "you have pulled 250 & 255 rwhp..." I was like WHAT? He asked me of any modifications. I said yeah, a SCT flash programmer and that is it.


He said, do you want me to pull the SCT programmer off and see what she pulls. I said yeah, he comes back laughing and says, you pulled 261 rwhp."
SCT product does not work. I called RPM outlet and the hung up on me, put me on hold, and I ask for manager and he said....we do not have supervisors here. HAHA!! What a rip off.

I have sent the SCT programmer back to RPM outlet. I will not be purchasing any more SCT products. I doubt they will give me my money back. RPM outlet was real helpful in taking my money, They would not help me return the product.

I have warned you guys. I have filed a fraudelent charge with my credit card company. The product is just a fancy code reader, a $390.00 dollar code
reader! HAHA!! with my car being stock, it should have pulled the rwhp and increased the torque. The guy and RPM outlet said, " tell the dyno guys to do a tune" I was like WHAT??? that is another 150.00 dollars and they do not want to fool with your SCT crap! So, purchase a 400 tuner and then pay 150.00 to get 10 rwhp! HAHA!! What a stupid sick a$$ joke, but I am not laughing....

Ouch. I have heard horror stories about RPM Outlet on this and other boards.

The "canned" SCT tunes are crap. You need a custom tune by a reputable company like Bamachips, Brenspeed, or TillmanSpeed in order to take full advantage of the SCT tuning device.

we have a placed called Delk performance in lebanon Tn that will charge around 400-500. for a tune. I am going to put some mac headers and high flowing cats, then take it back to them and have them do the tune.

by the way, I was not joking about RPM outlets customer service. They hung up on me, their helpdesk put me on hold for 20 minutes, etc. The were not helpful at all on doing a return. Basically, the want your money but if they screw up, they are not willing to help you

Years ago, I ordered something for my old stang at RMPoutlet. They immediately charged my card but I never got the product. Same thing, couldn't get any answers or talk to a supervisor. I filed a complaint with my credit union and they gave me my money back. Not sure if they ever got their money from them.

I bought upgraded coilpacks for my '03 Cobra, and also my cold air system from them as well and didn't have any problems whatsoever. That sucks though!
