The ones I see are 8k-10k but they have much higher mileage. I guess as long as its mileage is low because he put it up that's ok. It's not ok if it was totaled new and put back together in a bodyman's spare time. I guess you need to decide how bad you want a 96 Cobra and what do you want to do with it. If you want to put it up as a show car only, you have the perfect candidate. If you want to drive it and mod it, you can get more car with more miles for cheaper. You can also get a newer cobra for that price. It's your call but you probably won't get a chance at such a low mileage car again. If I was selling I don't think 18k is too much given the low mileage.
Well its my dads bosses son-in-law who is selling it and it was only driven alittle bit in the summers other than that it just sit in the garage under a car cover, and as far as mods just an off-road hpipe flowmaster, bbk cai and some gears maybe 3.90 because it will be my everyday driver, and then maybe heavier mods later but i really don't know of any heavy duty mods for the n/a 32v as far as heads and cam go but thanks for the input.
Sounds like a catch. Of course I would try to talk him down because thats part of it. Also be aware if you get it, just because it has low mileage doesn't mean it will be like a new car after being essentially stored for nearly 12 years. Check belts, hose, wires, tires, fuel filter, battery connections etc. I hope you don't drive much at today's gas prices but if you can afford a Cobra as a daily driver have fun. Oh yeah...you know the black ones are the fastest.
I would not spend that kind of money if it's gonna be a daily driver. You could get one much cheaper and drop loads of money into it, along with a brand new motor, and still have some cash left. Yeah, I'm sure it's in excellent condition and all, but $18k is outragous IMO.
I think 18k is not only ridiculous, but for a everyday driver....... that is just stupid. In my opinion, you better off to purchase it and then store it. If you put alot of miles on the car, the car will depreciate so fast you can just hear your money flushing away.
Put it like this, the low miles is the one thing that makes that car "worth" more than cobra with more miles. Even if the car is still in perfect condition, if people l see the highway miles they will turn away, if you try to sell later.
Take your money, and purchase a good used one and drive it everyday. If you have money to waste, then I have always said.... " rich people may have the money in the world..... BUT..... they are not always the brightest people in the world either"
Good luck,
Rich

Yeap, I agree with these guys, 18K is too much for 6600 miles. I'm may one day consider the sale of my 04 SVT Cobra. It has 6120 miles on it. If I were to sell, I would sell it for about $19,000 dollars.
04Venom... when you decide to sell yours for $19000 let me know. Unless its gonna be years from now. You dont find terminators for that price so saying what you did about selling yours for $19000, IMO, was not really a fair statement. But I do for the most part agree with everyone else on here. Unless you really want the car and have the means to buy it (and you dont see yourself regretting it later) I would probably pass.
