Cool long tune headers....never again!

FYI.....

I will never put long tube headers on another car. I have spent over $1500.00 In parts and labor. We started yesterday at 12:00 pm, and was through about 9:30pm.

First, BBK does not provide you with hangers or extended harness for the 02 sensors. We had to cut new wire ( radio shack) and tape the crap to make them work. Also, BBK makes you use your old bolts.

Second of all, if you lower your car to much those headers may even drag!

I put high flow cats, and with my stock exhaust it is really to loud. Which is cool to you young ones. But to me they are COP attention getters!!!!

We drop the whole front end to just be able to get to the headers.

I will save up for blower or super charger if I ever get rid of this cobra. I will never spend that much time or money on putting on JUST 20-30 hp. It was not worth it to me.
Thought I would let you know if how hard it was and to warn ya, it is no easy task.

Rich

The best time to put on headers on a 4.6 is with the motor out of the car or if u are doing a K-member swap.

I agree coolwater. When I had my 88GT - I put some 1 3/4 long tubes on it. 347 w/ 18 psi Procharger & a Lakewood safety housing. I was cussing there for a while. When I saw a guy putting them on a 03 Cobra, I said no freaking way. Pull the motor or the K-member.
