98 cobra motor going into my fox. what am i getting myself into?
i have a 98 cobra motor im not using and i blew my 5.0 so i want to use the cobra motor. does anybody have any experience with this swap? im more concerned on how the wiring will be handled. im not sure how i can make the motor run correctly. should i use a stand alone fuel system? im new to the modular motor and could use any help in doing my swap. thanks

You should try to get a Donor car to get the ECU and Wiring Harness from. Just a few issues with the gages on this one, but you could juse make a custom dash panel out of sheet metal and use some Autometer gages.
It can fit, and you can make it work. Its just not going to be as easy as dropping in a 302 or 351.

i have no issue with gauges because i have a full autometer cluster in a florida5.0 housing. i can get both the ecu and harness offline or from a donor. how will i integrate the newer ecu to work in a fox?will i lose functionality of anything?

As far as I know, nothign in the fox chassis was driven off the ECU that will be left behind after the swap, unless a later model than mine had ABS that used info fom the ECU.
So, with the swap, and a new wiring harness to connect all your sensors, and gages, your body and interior should be good to go. You may have to retro fit a VHSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) and an ABS module from a donor car to your brake system.
You may need a later model tranny if it has any sensors on it. Plus, I think the bell housing is different on the Mod motor form the old Windsor Block.
