Question 1995 SVT Cobra Mustang Questions?

hey guys 1st off im looking at buying this used car thats around here, theres many of things that indicate that its been beat to piss, like the 3:73s, 125 shot of zex spray, MAC exhaust, 5spd, new tires and ceramic coated rotors, a few other things aswell, but he wants 8gs for the car it sounds pretty resonable i was thinking of offering 7gs if theres nothing wrong with it like burning oil, it not being well maintained stuff like that. but this car has 78000 miles, new paint jobs and the parts listed above, and tan leather interior. bye the looks of it theres no body damage veiwable, i did'nt get a good look at it. but i was woundering if it sounds like a good deal to you guys, it does to me but i just want some more imputs.

I also have a few questions, i know the 94-95gt has the 5.0 96-98 has the 4.6 but is it the same in the cobra? whats the power output of the 95 SVT cobra stock, some common problems with these cars, and how much potential does this have with the stock bottem end and some track times, pics if you guys have... Thanks for the help

,Tim

1 more question, im not stupid, but whats the difference in the 302 gt and 302 cobra?

The Cobra had GT40 heads, Cobra specific intake and cam, and a different computer.
I'm just not sure if $8K is right but considering all the upgrades, it isn't too bad.

Yeah, 8k does seem alittle high, but if it's as clean as you say it is, it's not unreasonable. I bought my '97 for $6K with twice as many miles, but it still runs very strong. The potential with the 302 is great.

i was thinking of offering 7gs for it, but i still havnt taken it for a testdrive, and with the mods i feel as if it were beating for awile. if the 125 shot was on there all of its 78k miles i dout theres many more yrs of fun left in the car. meyb il take it for a spin and pick it up, thanks for the input guys

The price sounds a little high to me to. I would get a carfax report on the car to make sure the miles haven't been tampered with. The motor should still be in good shape b/c its not a big shot of nitrous. I would be more worried about the trans. The t-5s can't handle much abuse with that extra 125 horses. The car will run 14.0@100mph bone stock. I've got 181,500 on my 94 Cobra it still runs strong.

I would see if you could get a tranny fluid change on it to see the theres a lot of metal shavings coming out of it. I guess the with the mods on it there's been some abuse to the tranny and the 5.0L. Or maybe a oil change and see if theres metal in that form the barrings. I know it sound like some work but if you see it well it's less $ in the long run and you have a good idea how beaten it was. If all's well I'd offer $7,000-$7,300
