Default 1998 mustang cobra covert, looking for good exhaust

I am trying to find out what would be a good exhaust for the 98 cobra. The car is stock! I want something with a deep sound. Any help!

Thanks.

Cool

Everyone will have a opinion of what the type of exhaust they will like, etc. I have experimented with different exhaust, but my favorite is flow master. Everyone recommend hooker exhaust but I really did not like the tone. It was to quite with the stock cats! Flow master gave it a real good deep tone.

But from my experience, it does not matter what you put on it is not going to be very loud until you put some high flow cats on.

If you car is stock, flow masters will give you a nice tone, but not to loud you cannot hear the stereo

Right now I have long tube headers, high flow cats and stock exhaust. It is plenty loud.

Good luck,

Rich

Default 1998 cobra exhaust set-up

Just saw your post. Right now I have on my 98 Cobra Convert. FMS Ceramic Headers, 2.5 inch Hi-flow SS MAgna Flow x pipes, Magna Flow SS cat back & exhaust system. Looks stunning from the back, beautiful deep tone but verrrrry loud (for my personal taste) but I was after extra performance. I'v installed sound proofing in trunk, back & under rear seat and will do the rest of car later on. Hope this helps. If you need pics there is one on my site of the back of my Cobra, if it is not good enough let me know & I'll take some better ones.

I have a '94 cobra with flowmaster super 40's and no cats and it sounds awesome. deep and loud but with enough rumble to sound intimidating.

I have my 98 Snake with a BBK X-Pipe and 2 chamber Flowmasters and she sounds F-N bada$$. Especially when your slowing down and down shift to 3-2 and 1, the sound is deep, aggressive, I think I hear crying from cars at traffic lights??? Maybe it's just me??

Default exhaust question

Magna flow's are adult catbacks. THey have a great sound but don't drive you crazy.

FLOWMASTER is the way to go. Has that perfect sound you are looking for.
