I was curious as to whether or not there is any way to drop unneeded weight out of my 03 Cobra. Id like to do so without butchering up the car too much. If possible id like to drop 200 lbs. Any input is greatly appreciated.
The rear seat delete is a waste. I did it. the seat doesn't weigh that much and the new upholstered ply wood seat bottom replacement doesn't really sit nicely. You will probably wish you kept the seat in. I really don't think you save 50lbs. In order to drop 200lbs you would have to gut the car and put aluminum racing seats in. You will have an easier time making an additional 20hp than you will saving it by reducing weight. Remember; for every 100lbs you shed, you only gain 10hp

You could drop the a/c that ******* weighs alot, I dont know much you looking to spend or do but you could go with a different k-member and arms "QA1" claims there kit drops 70 pounds it's about $1,000 at summit and e-bay. I have a rear delete seat kit. After I was done it was around 47 pounds lost.
But I didnt see any thing from it. A fiberglass hood. ect.
well the 03-04 cobra's already have a fiberglass hood and trunk lid so you could shave a few pounds going to carbonfiber but in my opinion you won't see much of a gainfrom that. unless you want to do some serious modifying, it's going to be hard to lose 200+ pounds.
