Default i have 4:10s but try this

i have 4:10s i think i at 60 ish in 5 at around 2000-2500 but i dont remember. my car is off the road right now.

best way to be sure is jack up the rear end both tires off the ground. make a mark on the tire and on the driveshaft. you need two people to do this. have one rotate the driveshaft (trans in neutral) and one watch the tire. count how many rotations of the driveshaft per each one of the tire rotations. if 4 plus than you have 4:10s or more if under 4 than smaller than 4 somthings.

i think thats right. anybody else want to add or correct me.. its been awhile since i did it that way.
hope that helps.

If you have stock tires 245/45 17 and the stock Tremec T-45, with 4:10 rear end gears. You will be turning 2876 rpm @ 80 mph. Check out:

Using the Mustqang II calculator with 275/45 17's and stock tranny I came up with 2695 rpm for 4:10's at 80 mph. If you have 4:3's with the 275/45 17's your RPm at 80mph would be 2897. So maybe you have the 4:3's.

The 2.77 you got confused me too at first, but the calculator assumes you don't have overdrive, fifth gear in our Cobras is actually an overdrive at .67 to 1. I used the RPM calculator and put in your tire diameter with the .67 as the Trans gear ratio and 4:3 rear end ratio at 80 and it came up 2897 rpm.

For those tires the calculator says 3019. So I would guess it is 4:3's you have. You can do what Florida98cobra suggested to confirm.

MPH is only accurate if they corrected it after the gears where installed. Otherwise MPH could be off.

The whole caculator method goes out the window.

I would do as suggested earlier. Spin the tires and count the driveshaft and tire rotations. This will tell you for sure.
