Default 2003 Mustang Cobra Boost Question

I really like this site and am pleased to be a member. Anyway my question is this. With factory supercharge pulley, what is the boost needle on the guage reading when you are getting down on it? Is it 8 max or is it pegged. If pulley is smaller, as mine is, the boost guage is pegged. Will I hurt the engine? The man I got the car from has paper work on everything except a tuner shop after installing the pulley. Should I get the car tuned to be on the safe side? Thanks.

If the car has a smaller pulley like 2.80 it needs to be tuned so the air/fuel ration is setup for the boost if not the motor gunna go. The car should already been tuned when the pulley was installed. Stock 03/04 cobra run 8 psi, If its really cold u can see 10 psi.

Default question

I know that the more boost the more heat is generated. Can the eaton supercharger handle it or should I go back with the stock pulley and get tuned. Thanks

Default boost psi

Dyno should of gave you the max boost psi and I found out about a boost face plate change out for the guage. When I find out where and price I will let you know.

the guy i purchased the car from had it tuned/dyno'd, so i never asked him about max psi, and are you talking about a faceplate change for the factory guages? if so then that would be perfect, i want to keep my car looking as stock as possible with adding 2000 extra guages

Thanks a bunch. You saved me some time. Hope they aren't to much of a hassle to install.
