hey everyone,
I would like to know: between a turbo or supercharger, which will a 96-98 cobra respond better? I already have a Garrett 76mm Turbo and want to know if I can use it. I do not have a problem tho spending the money for the supercharger if it is better.

I do not know the spec's on the best turbo/charger for your car but ultimately I think it goes to which you preffer. I owned a Buick Regal Turbo charged in to a 4brl holley long ago (precursior to the Gran Nationals) and the car was quick. But myself I think I would like a supercharger better. Exspecially in a "muscle car" . But between cost, performance, I can see going with the cheaper rout if Turbo is the cheaper way.I know not much help but like I said kind of a personal choice thing.

It really depends on what you want. Is it just going to be a daily driver? if so then i'd say supercharge it so you don't have the "turbo lag". It's just more fun for a daily driver to supercharge it. Either way you will be making some good power .

There is NO room to work with stuff on these cobras with that huge 4.6 in there so remember that. The turbo size and specs you go with depends on when and how fast you will want boost, low end top end etc (depending on the flow charts of the engine will depend on how big of a turbo you can push) Easiest way to find out is ask someone else whos already done a turbo setup on theirs before. If you are seriously considering making yourself a turbo setup just remember you're gonna have to bank one side and do a lot of fabricating. Good luck...
