Hi Guys and Girls.I Just sold my sweet 95 GT and brought a 1996 Black on Black Cobra. The guy was running American Racing Wheels on it with 3 inch wheel studs front and back. I want to use my 03 cobra wheels. Should i remove the studs and replace them with standard studs? or is there another way around it to make it look good and keep the 3 inch studs.
And if you advise me to remove the studs, what,s the best way and proper tools? I don't like to bang on things.

For the front you can buy new hub assemblies. Easy to change out and roughly $50 each side. The new bearing/hub assemblies come with studs already in them. For the back, that's a big job as you need to pull the axles out to change them. I would suggest running some old nuts over the studs with no wheel on there and cutting them down with a grinder and filing the edges evenly. Then take the nuts off by working them at the end which will finnesse the threads to wear properly so your new lugs don't get a burr caught up in them. He prob ran spacers on them which you could run 1-1/4"s back there before you run into rubbing issue's and then you won't have to cut the studs.
