when i tried to check the voltage i was getting 5v when the battery was disconnected and never got any .94 to 1.0v on any of the three wires.. was i doing it wrong? i already replaced the stock with the BBK throttle body and now theres air coming out of the IAC and the check engine light came on and its idling really werid. if anybody reads my thread from earlier, itd be a lot of help. i went ahead and bought a diablosport programmer tuner because my friend who had a cobra, now a lighting, said it was probably my computer not being able to read all the mods ive done and still thinking the stock amount of air is supposed to be coming in and its the O2 sensors setting my CEL off.
any answers??? pleeese??

Get a code reader and figure out what codes you car is throwing. Try putting your old TB back on and see if the car still has an idle problem. You might need a MIL plug because of the high flow cats, I know you need one if you dont have cats, not sure about high flows though.
Are you sure its a 65mm TB, I assume you mean dual 65's? If so, it maybe too much TB for a basically stock motor

If it is you're probably gonna need a little tune.
Also did you get the CEL (check engine light) after you put in the high flow cats. As stated by white x3 you might need to get the plugs to eliminate that specific CEL.
sounds like you have a huge vacuum leak, I'd put the stock thrttlbdy back on and start from there....I hear of alot of the aftermarket thrttlbdys causing problems like this, usally from poor manufacturing of the housing, causing air leaks around the mounting base or inside the housing where the throttle blades close.....................
the high flow cats have been on for a while.. i never got a CEL before with them on.. i bought a diablo tuner last night so im going to try that out and run over to autozone and see if they can run my codes.... im thinking its the O2 sensors or maybe just too much air for the stock computer to compensate for...
answer for above, yes its a bbk 99-01 cobra 4v twin 65mm throttle body. its exactly for the coibra so why would it be too much for the engine?

Yes it is designed to FIT your car, but that does not mean it is proper for RIGHT now on your car. You can have too much air coming in and going out with stock displacement. Lets just say you started with a 55-57mm twin TB, and went to say a 70mm twin without changing displacement, or adding boost, etc..it would be overkill for your mods. You will lose HP somewhere, even everywhere. Just because its "bigger" doesn't mean its better for what you have. Ford did a rather good job with the 96-04 cobras. A lot of research was put into them.
It does sound like a vacuum leak, and I am guessing you already found it. The tuner is not going to help at this point, you need to isolate your first problem; your idle. Go to the local shop and get a new IAC gasket, maybe use some RTV/liquid gasket to eliminate your vacuum leak. Hope this helps if you have anymore questions feel free to ask. I do not know a lot about 4.6's but its still a stang..lol

thanks alot... you were so much nicer than the other guy on svtperformance.com. he was pretty much super rude to me. so should i get a new IAC gasket or a new IAC all to gether or id it the same thing? should i get it from the dealer or just from like autozone???

thanks, I try... I would just go to Autozone, get a new gasket, maybe some RTV. I am not sure why you have a vacuum leak at your IAC, it could be the TBs IAC surface is not flat, or what they call "true". While you have your IAC off, clean it. Get some TB cleaner that is o2 safe, spray it down and clean it out. You should also check your TPS voltage, not sure how its done on a 4.6.
