Default Catastrophic Engine Damage? '99 SVT Cobra!

Has ANYONE ever heard of an ignition Coil exploding into 50 pieces, and in the process BLAST ALL the ceramic off the plug, put a Huge bend in it and strip the threads on the head? And that's not it, there's LOTS of Blowby since the explosion, you can see oil puddled on the Top of the Pistons when you remove the plugs, BUT only on the Left Bank Head?? It's burning oil out the exhaust so does this mean COMPLETE engine rebuild?
Today I disconnected the injector wire off Cylinder 7 and was gonna just run without it but the oil smoke is CRAZY and I had to park it back in my Garage!
Do any of the fine ladies and gentleman in this forum ever hear of such a thing?
Do I have recourse with FORD? (I heard there was Many Engine problems with the '99 Cobra) Is there a place I can see if this has been a previously known recurring electrical problem?
My pristine '99 with less than 50K has been reduced to a 3500 lb paper weight in my Garage, it sucks! This is my 4th stang and the first that has failed me solely on it's own doing (unlike when I blew my own head gaskets etc.) And Finally can the Tampa St.Pete Members recommend a Quality Speed or Machine shop with Extensive expertise with rebuilding the 32v Dohc!! Thanksz guys!!
If things don't work out I might have to part it out!

sounds like something broke inside, I'd suspect the secondary chain tensioner failed, causing some piston to valve and piston to sparkplug contact....as far as I know there are NO internal engine problems associated wth the 1999 DOHC, only a lack of performance issue, which was corrected wth a TSB, which consisted of a redisigned intake, new exhaust and a different ECM....as far as a qualty shops on the Gulf Coast, you have 2 that I'd recommend, 1 is Velocity Performance 321-206-9369 VMPTuning.com and the second is Herman of Horsepower by Herman 813-241-2783 but Herman may be moving back to Maryland

Exactly Randy, I also didn't mention the electrode on that damaged plug looks FOR SURE like it got slapped by the piston, it was completely pushed up causing ZERO Gap. Every since I owned the car I could hear a lifter or pushrod on that bank making a Popping sound up to an hour after the car being turned off?? Would that have anything to do with the tensioner?
I was thinking on purchasing a short block and having the heads checked out, would this be more reasonable financially than having the lower end rebuilt?? This is my daily driver and I don't need a 500+ HP beast! Thanksz for the Shop Recommendations!!

yeah but getting a recondition short block for a DOHC will be hard to find and usally "shorts" do not carry much of a warrant..... if it we're me and your going to keep the car, I'd get a long block from either Ford or Jasper, better quality and a better warranty.....

I ran my car with a P-1 and #7 detonated and blew a hole about the size of my thumb in the skirt of the piston. Smoked like a MoFo, sounds like ya did something similar.
