I bought a replacement grille emblem for my 03 Cobra. Trouble is the traditional hex nut tool doesn't work. The OEM hex screw requires a hex nut tool that is hollow in the middle. Anyone know where I can find one? My local hardware store was scratching thier heads...

Sounds like you're describing a security allen wrench. Check with mcmaster.com

its a tamper proof hex bolt . i got a set of the hex bits at Harbor freight in san bernardino

Like he said. It's a tamper proof hex bolt. You can find the tool from the snap on man, mack man or maybe at your local parts store. You said allen though. I haven't seen one of those as of yet. But hey, it's got to be called a tamper proof allen head bolt, if that is what it is. Same people should have one. Good luck.

Like yhey said, it's a tamper proof hex or either an allen. You should be able to pick it up at your local auto parts store or either the snap on man.

The tool you will need is a T-25 tamper proof torx bit

Thanks. You know what was suprising is neither Home Depot or Lowe's sells them. Not even Sears... king of all tools. I found the easiest way was to order it from ninosport.com where you get the emblem and the T25 tamper proof torx bit included... more expensive, but convenience fee was worth it.
