Default My First Cobra..please Help With Alarm...

Hello All I just purchased a 1997 Cobra and I am having an alarm issue. Did these come standard with alarms?? The alarm pushbutton device says Remoto on it. It was working when I bought the car yesterday but, now it won't work so I have to lock the door manually then open from the passenger side or the alarm goes off. Does anyone know where the sensor is that I am supposed to aim the pushbutton remote at? The remote is flashing green when I push the buttons so I don't suspect a bad battery...Please help...

hey .. I had a similar problem with my cobra when I bought er' a few years back. I recieved some after market key alarm from the dealer but they were junk.. I wound up buying a stock one online for like 40 bucks. There is a jumper for the stock alarm system in the trunk on the driver side to sync the alarm system with a remote.

I don't think the alarm came standard. Might be a dealer add-on? I assume you have been pointing the remote at the car. Maybe try a new battery.
