just put flowmasters on it, whats the next best thing to do to make it sound better, headers? offroad pipes? take off cats?

i suggest a set of shorty headers and an o/r x-pipe....

I have shortys and macflow h-pipe Flowmaster 40's and no cats on a 96. Sounds good but a o/r Xpipe would sound better. But if you take off the cats you are gonna get a popping noise when you change gears, really bad when its cold. And you are gonna have to re-tune the cpu to keep the check engine light off or put dummy o2 sensors in.

Shorty headers, remove the cats, bassani x pipe into flow masters. Not DOT legal so there may be some discrepancies w/ that. Remove the cats at your own risk. If you need sound, I can make a short little video of the exhaust and post it on the int. Good luck.
