Default Trouble with T5's in 1994 Mustang Cobra

I love my 1994 Mustang Cobra! The trouble is the Tranny just doesn't hold up! I have had it rebuilt twice in the last 2 1/2 years and it has gone out again. The first two times the input shaft lost about half the teeth. This time I'm not sure but it feels like it did the previous two times it went out. Unfortunately the only year models that will fit are "94 & 95 GT and Cobra" according to the specs I can find.
How hard can it be to rebuild these T5's? Where can I find a manual to guide me thru a rebuild? I can't afford a $1000 rebuild every year and a half. Are shafts and gears made the same or are there some better than others? I feel like the company that rebuit mine may have used cheap or inferior parts. Have other 94 Mustang owners had this type of problem and if so what are your recommendations?

I had the same problem. I ordered a high quality kit from Ford racing performance . I took my time and rebuilt it myself. It wasn't that bad. Just remember with buying parts , you get what you pay for. My kit cost about 300 but you can find them for under 200. Good luck.

I agree d&d has all kinds of parts and trannys to choose from. I had a 89 1/2 GT that I could not keep trannys in so I bought a Tremec. The problem never came about again.
