Default 2003 Cobra, Kenne Bell 4" Cool Air Intake Help

I have an 03 Cobra and I am trying to install the Kenne Bell 4" Cool Air Intake and I am having an extremely difficult time.

I have cut and rerouted the intercooler lines as indicated and the filter is so long that I am very concerned about water getting into it.

Has anybody done this to theirs recently? Please let me know...I am very disappointed with the kit itself...parts quality is great, but seems like the filter really has to be packed in there to fit.

I would appreciate any help!

Thanks!

Default cool air intake

I don't understand on why you have to cut any lines. You may have to take off your front right tire and inner finder to mount the air filter. I have not installed one and I do not believe their are any intercoolant lines in the finder well itself, but I may be wrong. If directions aren't clear you may want to call kenny bell. Let me know how it goes because I was thinking of getting one. Good luck.

It ended up going together just fine...becuase the filter itself is 12" long, the intercooler lilnes themselves have to be shortened a bit to make room for it.

You actaully end up taking off the whole from fascia in addition to the fender well to get this thing in.

I just took it for a good run today...I definitely think it is more than just placebo, the snake does seem a little more responsive...took it in a corner quick and punched it a bit and just about took out every garbage can on the street...

So far, so good! Can't really hear it, but sure can feel it...really makes a difference in the upper end though.

Just make sure and plan some time when you get ready to do it. I spent about 3-hours working on mine...a few sodas in there of course =)

Default filter install

Excellent, job done. I heard they were good filters. 100% air flow. Like not even haven a filter. Had to take off the front fascia hugh. Do you have full exhaust, pully and tune. I believe you will make good numbers. Hey, it is an 03 cobra.

No, I just have the CAI. I am toying with doing a the exhaust and 4.10's but I am concerned about voiding the warranty on my car.

Yes, it is an 03. This is my first mustang, fun to drive for sure!

Default warranty

If something happens to it while it is under warranty you may want to put the stock CAI back on it before taking it to the shop. Have fun with your cobra. Don't do any other mods until warranty runs out.
