My freind just bought a 99 SVT Convertible 5 speed. I know it has a DOHC 4.6 rated at 320 HP, independent rear suspention, and bigger brakes than the GT. Does anyone know how much rear wheel HP that it makes, and how much the converible weighs. I have heard that at 100% stock it runs 13.8 in the 1/4 mile, I don't know if this is for the coupe or the heavier convertible. I would like to know what my little 88lx will have to compeite agaist this spring,thanks guys.

i have a 99 vert and the sticker says it is around 4400 lbs

Ummm the convertable is not 1,000 pounds more than the Coupe.

thats just what the sticker on my door jam read. It could be wrong i suppose....??

My '96 v6 has a sticker that reads ~4200- its the Maximum curb weight that it can support (fully loaded with passengers and stuff in the trunk). They dont make it very clear though, and it took me a while to figure that one out.
