I have a 99 mustang cobra and am upgrading the tail lights to a newer style without the amber turns. Problem is upon removal of the tail lights i realized that the ones on the car had 5 bulbs and the new ones going in only had 4. How do I convert these and where does the turn signal bulb insert? Thanks in advance for any help on this situation.

I had a 2000 Mustang GT where I did the opposite. I installed the Cobra lights with the extra bulb. It's been so long ago that I can't tell you what all was involved with the actual wiring in the back. I will tell you that it required a new or different flasher underneath the drivers side dash. Just something to be prepared for should the wiring alone not work for you.

I figured it out if thats what you want to call it. I just drilled out the tail light and cut the groves for the bulb to fit into. I appreciate it though.
