Default 2003 Mustang cobra chattering from throwout bearing or clutch cable?

My 2003 Cobra is making an odd chattering noise, kind of like the noise a cricket would make, from the T-56. I put a centerforce dual friction clutch, centerforce flywheel, and ford racing throwout bearing. Shortly after, i bought a Steeda adjustable clutch cable, quadrant, and firewall adjuster, but never installed the firewall adjuster. Now that it is all back together, the chattering has begun. When i press the clutch halfway in, but not enough to engage the clutch, the noise goes away, but the clutch pedal vibrates like crazy. My mechanic says that the throwout bearing may be the wrong one. I think it is the adjustable clutch cable. Any advice would be great!!

i'm not sure bout that. my mechanic that installed the clutch just seems to think that its the throwout bearing. would a throwout bearing from 79-04 fit in the t-56? i ordered everything through jegs and they said that all throwout bearings from 79-04 will work. dont know bout that, but thats what the salesman said.

hey man, my 03 cobra was doing the same thing after a couple launches from the track, turned out to be the throw out bearing. . . as soon as i touched the clutch the chattering would start but stop half way down. Change the bearing, the noise goes away.

I had that same problem on my 01. It was still under warrently and Ford changed the throwout bearing and it went away.

I'm not sure about that "all for one" logic they are telling you. On the Ford Racing site they have a HD bearing that fits 79-04. Maybe some are universal. M-7548-A
