Default 1998 gt...PI heads

What are my intake options if I go with PI heads. and can you do anything to convert the stock 1998 heads to use a better intake to increase the power to 1998 cobra standards?

Hiya, welcome to the site. Check out the 4.6 and the SVT Cobra sections, we should have that info in there.

if you go with pi heads you can use pi intake or buy p-51 intake($1500) or you can just run pi intake on your stock heads.best bang for your buck is pi heads and intake.it wont be cobra but you will pick up 40-50hp for about &1100-$1200

Doing a PI swap as well as full bolt-ons will put you around a stock Cobra but you will be faster down low. The 96-98 Cobra's powerband was designed for a higher end power rather than low end power.

You will probably be at 260-270rwhp with a PI swap and full bolt-ons on your GT if you went that route. That is about what the stock Cobra's dyno at but they do pull pretty hard up top too.

stock 4.6 PI motors are rated at 260hp at the flywheel.
