Default 98 cobra fan swap help

So, I figured out that I needed a new fan. I settled upon a 98 Mark VIII fan, but I'm having problems even getting it installed into the engine bay. I just wanna know if and what other people have done and some other issues I may encounter along the way...?

For two reasons:
1.) 95-98 cobras are notorious for overheating.
2.) 93-98 Mark VIII fans are better than stock cobra AND aftermarket fans.

reallythis is news to me.....
the only year that Im aware of that had an overheat problem was 1996 Cobra's and GT's and there was a TSB for that....also there are alot of other ways to cool down the car besides trying to adding a coolant fan that wasn't designed for that car....like a larger radiator for one, have the factory coolant fan come on sooner, clean-out the finns in the A/C condensor and oem radiator.....sorry but seems tome like your going about this the wrong way, but thats just mho
