Default clutch problems, 1997 Mustang Cobra

ive got a 97 cobra n everything was fine till i was driving it one day n i couldent put it into gear so i adjusted it from the firewall n it worked but now wenever i drive for a long time its dosent wanna go into first i have to push it in and wen i do dat the car jumps just a little it fells like the clutch hasent disengaged all the way i thinking maybe its a streched cable cause the clutch grabs just fine anyone have any ideas

Well it could be a few different things: 1. Clutch Disc Broken, weak clutch disc springs or worn disc facing; 2. Clutch Pressure Plate Damaged or worn pressure plate splines or surface; 3. Clutch Pilot Bearing/Pilot Bushing Damaged, worn, or faulty clutch pilot bearing/bushing. 4. Bent / damaged clutch fork.

The first thing you should check is the condition of your transmission fluid. If you don't know when the last time it was replaced, you should do it immediately. Bad fluid will cause all kinds of bad symptoms on a manual transmission.

went to a tranny shop today and was told that the clutch feels good and its not the fluid he said to change the cable and adjuster and see were that leaves me he said there know for having bad adjusters so im just gonna order a stedda cable and firewall adjuster and maybe a clutch just incase and well c wat happens
