i got a 96 cobra recently. what type of heads are on it?? does somone no?

The 96+ Cobra's had 4valve heads rather than the 2valve heads that came on GT's. The 4v allowed the engine to breath much better meaning higher hp levels. They also take to modifications much better than the 2v GT's do.

No they are Not a GT40 head, they are 4.6 Modular DOHC heads also know as the "B" head....GT40 refers to the SBF pushrod heads used in production on 1993 & 1994/95 5.0 Cobras and 1993 to 1996 5.8 Lightning pick-up's....
