What are these problems?????

Hey guys, just got my 99 cobra vert and im having this wierd noise( a grinding) noise when i put the car in reverse gear. It only happens for like 2 seconds right when i try to put it in there. It happens about 75 percent if not a little more part of the time
Another thing is, is it normal to have the steering wheel feel at times like it has no power steering and then u feel it kick in right after u move the wheel. Does that make sence? after u keep moving it its fine. Its only on that first second of movement after it has bee sitting for a while.

the grinding in reverse is because there is no reverse synchro on the t45.

i get the same thing with the powersteering, it happens every once in a while. who knows why.

id say ur par for the course

Thanks for the info:thumbsup Is there any reason that they didnt put a syncro in the reverse gear on the t45

yeah, they are cheap.

the 01 got the 3650 which has a reverse synchro
