Default Code p0174 on 97 mustang cobra svt..please help!!

I have a 1997 Cobra SVT that has an X-PIPE. The rest is stock. I have replaced the front O2 Sensors and had the back sensors shut off.
After replacing the sensors the Check Engine went off..Now it is back on. I have unhooked the battery then it stayed off for about 3 months now it is back on reading the same code. Unhooked batteries again.Code off then 2 days later back on.
The code is P0174 System Too Lean(Bank 2).
I put 93 Octane in it..I was told if I put 89 it would not run right..Is this true?? I believe it calls for 91 but we only have 87,89 and 93 in Florida.
Can anyone please give me some pointers on how to get this damn light to stay off...Would fuel injector cleaner help??Thank you in advance for your time..
