OK so my big problem is im EXTREMELY mad that i got beat ina race with a supra by a fendor because i miss shifted and just rolled with being a gear high instead of shifting down (went from 2nd to fifth @130kph=80mph est.) and just left it in fifth since i was still at 2500 rpm about and quickly ran to 5000rpm. problem is , is it just wasnt quite fast enough so i need some help i got 3k to spend on uipgrades that will keep my baby road able for crusin but able to whoop a$$ when needed without swapping out pully(S/C) again. willing to swap CAI if any1 knows of a better one then the factory upgrade. anyways give me your input please.

Get a better short throw in the car if you havent already.
Get some after market headers and drop some weight in the car if you want to. (even the spare tier and jack will help a bit.

What kinda rear end gears do you have in the car?

Headers aren't worth the money or hassle until have exhausted some other simple alternatives. What all mods do you have TrueMuscle?

They guy already has a 03 cobra with a different pully. I'm guessing a tune other then the headers.

The supra is a fast car even stock. Plus they weight alot less compaird to the mustang.

If you shifted from 2nd to 5th and still barely lost by a fender your car is plenty fast to beat that supra anyhow. Just don't miss shifts. Was it a MkIV Supra? If so they weigh just about 3500lbs. Not much lighter than a Terminator.

I got the ONLY TRUE SVT MUSTANG an 03 SVT cobra AND HAPPY AS ALL HELL. Wanted this car for 5 yrs now and a mustang since 94 when this body style came out its bone stock except a cold air intake from factory and gonna stay that way ...... maybe ill think about upgrades as extra money falls out of my rear end lol.

A 10.7 is fast! I dont remember a stock cobra putting that out in a 1/4 mile!

first of all other then CAI and pulley its stock second ive never ran quater mile im just going off of paper work i was handed so if its wrong im sorry but i have no way of knowing for myself for sure because the only 1/4 strip got demo'd 6 months ago and has been outta commision for 2 or 3 years now in the area i live so unfortuneatly i gotta go off of the paperwork i got. so im not intentionally lying guys. but according to the paperwork i have and the est. e/t's i was given when i changed stock pulley out is all i got to go off of.

You need to do more research then. Don't post false 1/4 mile times, false horsepower numbers, and represent your car as stock if it's not. A pullied Cobra isn't eevn close to stock. You won't make any friends or have any credibility if you keep doing what your doing.

It says you live in Strathmore, Alberta which is 35 mins from calgary, Alberta. The track in calgary (Racecity) is STILL running, the last track day was Oct 17th (yesterday). Secret Street Oct 17. So you saying it being out of commission for 2-3 years in complete BS!. Then you say your going off paperwork that the car will run 10.70?? what is this paperwork??? I live in alberta and i have ran a best of 11.338@130 (on 18" DR's) with a 600 hp cobra. So your either lying or you have no clue... or both. The other thing is that you say you make 508rwhp with just a 2.93 and CAI. where was this???? I know the 2 tuners in calgary that deal with ford tuning (Matt @TheMustangShop and Matthew @ Tecmotion) and they both run Mustang dyno's. Me and a good buddies highest numbers on both of those where no higher than 430 rwhp on BOTH dynos with ported setups and full bolt ons. I would really like to see a picture of your car cause you sound like you just making stuff up.

As for your race you missed third and went into fifth and lost by a fender? and now you want more power?? Try learning how to drive, it does wonders. Sounds like you can barely handle All of that "500 HP" you already got. Sorry guys if i come off as harsh but I can't stand a liar.

Thanks for the backup. Once I got past the initial story and started to look into this guy I doubt he even owns a Cobra. I don't know about you younggun but my Cobra doesn't do 80mph in 2nd anyway. I also have full bolt ons (minus headers), a Stage IV port and a 2.93/4# lower and make 486/517. 508whp on a 2.93 and CAI is outlandish. Dude is either a lyings sack of crap or knows nothing about it. My money is on both!

+1, doesn't add up. also from 2nd to 5th, the car would be lagging alittle at first and just to be beat by a fender?? The 500rwhp doens't make sense even with a pulley CAI or tune.
Also pulling hard boost in 5th, alot of people say no to that, that's it's not a good thing.

well good thing my Cobra is pushing 1000rwhp with a civic intake, fart pipe, and lots of perfomrance stickers. though i run the quarter mile in 12 seconds, lol, JK of course.
