Hey guys--need some info--i was changing diff gears today and found a bad bushing and i not sure what it is called--after taking off right rear wheel there is a knuckle bushing on a arm that connects to the rear axle shaft this arm is directely behind the brake dust cover and the bushing is bad--ford wants to sell me the whole arm with the bushing but all i need is the bushing any idea's? Ford guy called this a rear knuckle upper bushing

Well i'm not sure if it is a control arm the arm is directly behind the dust cover and is attached to the rear axle shaft-if you take the rear wheel off u can see the bushing sticking up on a knuckle just above and behind the dust cover this is on a 2001 cobra irs

Could it be the cross axis joint busing? There is one on the top and bottom of the knuckle where it attaches to the upper and lower control arms. Ford doesn't sell this bushing separately, you have to buy the whole knuckle for about $500. Maximum Motorsports does make and upgrade for these bushing for $380 for both sides though
