recently i have had a p0113 code ,intake air temp high.the dealer where i bought the car told me it was because there was a smaller pulley on the blower.i did not believe this to be the cause,so i checked it out myself and within 5 minutes found that the intake charge temp sensor in the intake tube was faulty.ohming out the sensor showed a open circuit.new sensor ohms out at 4.5kohms.just would have been nice if the dealer tried to fix the car before selling it rather than blaming the c.e light on aftermarket parts.

Something I have noticed at our local dealers too… problem in part is due to high turnover in the industry combined with new generation of techs. A lot of dealers – at least here, have got rid of skilled and experienced high paid techs and replacing them with a young, inexperienced tech to save on operating cost. They are just not as knowledgeable as the guy that’s been there for 15 years – bad deal for the consumer but a good opportunity for a new tech to obtain a job and learn – its tuff and I wish them success anyway.

That's how they are, they don't want to replace your parts for free, that comes out of Fords/dealerships pocket. Even under warranty, if you have something aftermarket that didn't even cause the problem, they will say that it is. Had a friend take his 2003 GT in due to the tranny was messed up. They saw he had an X pipe and said his tranny was messed up due to that and denied warranty work. Took it to another ford and at least they replaced the tranny. It's certain ones though.

im in the auto field myself,and have seen exactly what your sayin.this is just a tech who didnt want to try to fix the car thats all.im not the smartest guy but i found this problem in literally 5 minutes.and i dont work on fords everyday.thanks for the input fellas.
