A chater noice will be your pilot bearing. A chearping sound will be a throw out bearing. Both should be replaced when getting a new clutch eather way. If the noice is in every gear it should be your clutch if it was just in one gear well then it would be your
tranny. A bad clutch will start to loss gears and you will soon have to start reving the car up high in rpms to start off and there should be a good loss in power when you have to drive
