Smile Turbo or Supercharger?

My 1995 SVT cobra is going to a drag and possible drift car if i get good enough at it. i just wanted to get some opions on the two different boosts. What would be better a turbo or a supercharger for my uses?

I would supercharge so you have less boost lag. You'll need to keep those tires spinning even at low RPM!

i would go with a supercharger as well. a turbo gives you boost like a supercharger but it robs your engine of horsepower because the engine can't breath as well. it runs off the exhaust, takes longer to spool up, and is not as consistant as a supercharger. you don't have to wory about cracks in the compressor section of a supercharger either.

+1, Supercharger, roots style, instant power out of the turns or off the line.

I personally will be putting a turbo on my car. Turbos don't take hp to make hp like superchargers do. But you will sacrifice a little low end since it does have to spool. But I like autocross so a turbo is more beneficial for me.

I think it has to do to how your car is set up. Drift I think you would need a supercharger but drag you would use a turbo. I don't have a supercharger or a turbo but I do a lot of research so I will know what to get when I do have enough money.

I am going turbo... A turbo isnt going to rob all the power of turning the s/c and lag is really not bad if you do it right as far as sizing the turbo and the correct a/r etc... also if your like me you will spend a little extra on a ball bearing one, WHATEVER you do I wouldnt recomend a centrifugal like procharger or paxton or any thing if you do go with a supercharger... they are the two worst parts of s/c and turbos combined, They are half a turbo turned by a belt bassically so unlike a whipple you do not see peak boost untill you redline whereas even a turbo gets full boost way further down the rpm scale and also it robs the power of the engine to run, so if supercharger go whipple but I personnaly like theese turbo you get better mileage because your not at full boost if your creping at 2000rpm and also you can change the boost in cabin on the fly for economy and your engines sake wherase a s/c requires a pulley change its really up to your habits and intentions for the car I guees, check out some of the turbo cobras on youtube,
