Default 1997 Mustang Cobra, Return springs to stock?

I bought my 97 Cobra convertible a while back, it is too low for my area, gravel road and all. I just had a front tire give out on me, burned up the inside edge, wore clear through. I'm looking to raise it up, maybe go back to stock. Can you folks help me identify what was changed, what should I look for? Or should it be as simple as changing the springs? The car looks great, and handles well, but it drags all over the place on these gravel drives. I can't even look at speed bumps.

Alternatively, what would it take to keep from burning up the front tires?

What is it rubbing against to wear out like that? Check to see if they still used the isolators, if not, you can buy those and add them and that will raise it back alittle. if they still do have the isolators, they more likely got the more aggressive rate. you can stay with aftermarket and get the not so aggressive ones or go back to the stockers.

I agree with 2oo5GT, It sounds like your not running any ISO's. If this is the case pick up a set of Maximum Motorsports ISO they raise the car up a fair bit. If that is not the case i would suggest running another set of aftermarket springs that are not nearly as low. I have H&R sport springs and it's low but i have no problems scraping on anything and trust me the roads where I live are terrible.

Here's the stance on my car.

The tires are wearing due to the camber I believe, I'm no expert but I think it's just the road. Will the Isolators help to cure this, or just raise it up? The need to keep tires on the front is my main concern. but I may want to make it a bit more driveable. What I'm really looking for is to determine what has been changed, so that I know where to start.

I would check the isolators, it would help raise it up. you might need to look at some CC plates to get the alignment back into specs. once it's lowered so much but other suspension parts are kept stock, you throw off the geometry of the suspension and things like tires will suffer.
