Just wondering if anybody else has had a similar problem with a sputtering supercharger? Everything is basically stock on my car except for a K & N intake and every time I start getting into higher boost it feels like the supercharger bogs down or sputters. Does anybody have a solution or what they think the problem could be? I was told it maybe spark plugs or a need for more fuel at higher rpms. Thanks
More fuel is not your problem if you are mostly stock. You could change your fuel filter if you haven't. Make sure your air filter is clean and pull a plug and see what it looks like. Also make sure your traction control is off. Good luck and let us know. Those are the simple things to check.

+1, more fuel isn't the problem. Clean the MAF, last friend i talked to had the same problem and he cleaned the MAF and was good to go. If not, i would change the plugs.

Not only would I agree with cleaning the MAF, I would bet your filter had something to do with it. A wee bit too much oil on the old K&N will suck right on through and coat the MAF. I think most people over use the filter oil.
fwiw,,my 03 has mega miles and twice i had a simalar problem,,,mine is a first run cobra and it says to gap plugs at 42-46 on the tag for this car..i lowered my gap to 35 and all is good,,another problem i have had was the insulator on plug broke at spark side and caused a miss,,,BY chance has the engine lite come on blink acouple of times than go out???????
The guys at my shop said the same thing about most brake cleaners BUT this one certain brand causes no irritation to skin and works great for them but I'll head to Napa and get the recommended product, it's getting Dyno'd next week so I want the MAF reading accurate~~
S0 daboyho50 you just gently rub the MAF elements with the tip of an alcohol soaked Q-Tip?
I've never cleaned mine so I guess I'll be seeing some dirt on it?
And when I datalog what kind of voltage should I see at the meter at WOT?
I don't remember the voltage. But I can look it up in my book when I get home for you. I dip the q-tip in the alcohol, and very gently rub the sensors. It evaporates very quickly, and cleans it extremely well. I can't stress enough that you have to be gentle. . . But it's a free fix from household items! And yes, you will see some dirt on the q-tip. It's kind of suprising how much you will pick up if you've never cleaned them. . . They require a special bit also. It's a security torx. I think it's number 17? Not exactly sure.
PS. The alcohol will not harm it.
OK your suggesting removing the MAF from it's housing? I was just gonna remove the inlet hose to the throttle body and reach in with the Q-tip, but it would be easier and more thorough once you have it in your hand, I'll do it that way. And when you mentioned alcohol I remembered a computer tech guy who told me he's saved a couple laptops for friends that spilled drinks on the keyboard, he pours alcohol on it to help evaporate the moisture. so if it's safe for that I trust your recommendation..
hey, make sure your belts not slipping excessively, i've had a similar issue and it was the belt slipping, had to replace a worn out tensioner. i was also running a 9" crank pulley, 2.76 upper and making about 19lbs. i was experiencing spark blow out at .43 gap so i dropped down to .34. since them i installed a set of coild and was able to open the gap to .45 with good success. you should be careful cleaning the MAF, use a good quality electronics cleaner.
