Default 2003 cobra cold air intake question

Hi there,
I have an 03 and I am wanting to put in a cold air intake, and I think I have narrowed it down to the bbk and the mac kit. The mac costs 150 and the bbk costs 300. They are both similar in design in that they are both fenderwell intakes, except the bbk's runner seems to be better designed for a less turbulent flow. I am wondering if you think that the cost difference is worth it for the bbk, or if i should go for the mac. I am leaning towards the mac because its so much cheaper, and I had a mac kit in my old sixer with no problems. Any help deciding would be great, or if you have another suggestion, im all ears. just so you all know, I am planning on getting a smaller pulley and a tune, if its of any relevance. Also, with the 150 dollar price difference, I will be that much closer to buying those mods . Thanks for your help.

here are links to both:

You know, the only mod for the whole thing is the air cleaner swap. You are better off with a cleanable air filter like the one shown. You want cooler air, then wrap the intake with plain old aluminum foil.

You will have two subtle flow reading between both units. You are splitting hairs in my opinion, only because the air cleaner is the key to stepping up a touch more HP.

If the more expensive one has tow pieces, then that transition from one piece to the next will be a slight restricted wall at the junction points. So, again, splitting hairs which one. I'd replace the OEM and what HP you gain is simply more speed entering the chamber.
Air enters on the restricted mode if an OEM filter is feeding air. If there are less pleat thickness, then of course this is less restriction so there explains you slight improvement.

i almost bought the JLT intake for almost $300 until i saw a guy dyno his cobra with the intake i wanted, and he made less HP then mine. I just put a K&N filter into my stock box and seemed to gain some nice power. his blower sounded louder though through the new intake though, i was definitely jealous of the sound. but yea like he said your splitting hairs between those two intakes

The full intake system definitly gives the supercharger a much greater sound, I'd say it's worth the $150. It's worth the sound. Either way, 03/04's respond great to more airflow. You have to try new up and lower pulley's, and a more free flowing exhaust too. (A tune is a must after mods on these cars) You will be putting way over 400rwhp. I've seen people pull 460rwhp with just these mods, if your lucky (It's all about the tune).

I would get the full kit to. i have the RAI though but the CAI is good to. I like JLT but it's everyones opinion. i only paid 160 and free shipping at americanmuscle.com for my JLT RAI. Also all cars will dyno different with any bolt on mods, u really can't go off of someone else's bolt ons, only estimate and that's all.
I don't like MAC but i would get that over the BBK.
plus the metal tubes to me warm up to quick.
