I need a really quick answer. I was calling around to see how can install some 4.10 gears for me. Well one company which is a four wheel shop told me that they can install it for 639 but it might go up depending on whether or not the bearings are different than a truck. Then I called another place and they told me I will need another clutch because the limited slip would not be able to hand the 4.10 gears. Does anyone have any help on whether or not I need a new clutch.

i wouldent pay more than 300 to have them put in

your clutch, as in the transmission has nothing to do with it.

all a t loc does ( limited slip) is lock the other wheel.

it dont mess with the clutch. the 4.10's actuly will make your clutch work a little less to get the car moveing

That is a rip off! $200-300 max. Heck i think even ford charges less than that. they might be talking about the clutches in the posi. If your posi isn't messing up right now, they are dumb. They probably want you to spend even more money on something you dont need. Plus if you do get a posi or whatever, the 03-04 cobra posi, 31 spline, is a cheap upgrade that has carbon clutches in it.
i would def keep shopping around.

yea 639 is insanity i was quoted 250 for the install and that includes the gears and its a warrantied installation
