Default Centerforce Complete DFX 26 Spline Package

I just have a quick question for all your SVT owners out there, I have a 04 Cobra and I am going to be installing a new clutch package on it. It's a fairly stock rig right now, but soon I am planning on pushing the horsepower to around 500+. The manufacture that I am heading towards is Centerforce; I am looking at the Centerforce 26 Spline DFX Disk w/LFP by Fidanza Lightweight Aluminum 8 Bolt Flywheel, Centerforce 2 Pressure Plate, Liberty Gears / D&D 26 Spline Input Shaft and Throw Out Bearing. This package is $1,080.00 dollars on lightningforceperformance.com and I am putting the decision in your guys’ hands for me to either rock the clutch in my car or knock it! Thanks for all the input it's appreciated!

Once you get up around 500hp, its time to upgrade to a better clutch. The only thing better than a DFX is a multi plate clutch. I don't think you can get any better on a single plate clutch than the DFX.

I've got that same set up in my Cobra right now. I'm making 638rwhp and the clutch is holding nicely. I've raced the car, driven the Cobra in the city and on the interstate and the clutch performs perfectly.

Just my opinion, keep the stock flywheel. Its aluminum and a very nice unit. Go with ARP hardware for the install !

The input shaft is very easy to install, you'll need some RTV sealant.

The DFX clutch did require a fair amount of effort to break in. Much more when compared to a stock type clutch. I've got about 12K miles on the DFX clutch and everything is "peachy keen". I highly suggest purchasing a fiore clutch adjuster.
