Default Stroking a 1997 Mustang Cobra 4.6L 4V

i have a stock 4V 4.6L cobra with a 281ci engine and i want to stroke it to something bigger. info greatly appreciated.

I do not know much about stroking a 4.6. However I do think you will get more of a benefit from running forced induction. Those 4 valve motors rev pretty high and are perfect for adding a supercharger/turbo. I don't know if you want to stay n/a or not, but if your looking for the most performance forced induction is probably the way to go.

Stroking modular engines provides minimal gains... mainly the strokers you will see will be a 302 to 347 or sometimes they stroked the old windsor 351s. I reccomend spending on forced induction.

Stroking a NA cobra would be pointless but if you plan on building a stout FI motor I would suggest a MMR shortblock.
