I have a 99 cobra and will eventually swap the stock t-45 for the t-56 but i recently swapped out the IRS for an 02gt solid axle now i know the t-56 is a little bit longer then the t-45 what driveshaft would fit this change cant seem to find the right one any suggestions???

Wow that's a tricky one, I'm sure somebody here has replaced the IRS in their 03-04 Cobras (equipped with the T-56)to a live axle, see if they chime in, you will need a new crossmember(from an 03-04) for the tranny to fit.

I think you would just need a cobra drive shaft. The IRS doesn't stick out any longer than the solid axle I thought.

i have another question if i put the t-56 on my 99 cobra would the speedometer not be accurate if not what would i need to fix that??

It should be good to go since the 99 speed sensor it a magnetic pickup that send a signal to the EEC, same as the T-56 but just incase, check out...
