Question 1999 Cobra Mustang engine upgrades?

I have only posted here once before so here I go for the 2nd round. I have a 99 Cobra convertable that without breaking the bank I would like to around 400hp to the rear wheels. Now I know the first thing most guys say "Supercharger or turbo" but I would like to do this without either of those. What about cam replacement? I have added a K & N cold air filter, 4.10 gears, Flowmaster mufflers, and did the predator tune to it. Will be adding 60#injectors, C & L air tube, Fore Precision Works fuel rails, and maybe the SVT Focus fuel pump. Looking for any and all sugestions here to squezze out more HP. Maybe some brand names of parts I should be looking for here or on Ebay.

I have to agree about the 60# injectors. And you will have make a pretty substancial withdrawl from the bank to get 400 at the wheels with that motor. It can absolutely be done through stroking, porting, polishing, cams (like you said), and so on... but that stuff ain't cheap! That's why so many people opt for a power adder!

400rwhp will take alot of money N/A. if you get port n polished heads, cams, CAI, LT's, X pipe, TB, mass air and dyno tune but you will still be shy of the 400rwhp. Also 60lb injectors will be over kill. 42lb injectors will be more than enough. might have around 340-360rwhp with that combo. In the long run, a used supercharger would get you there and would be cheaper/same amount.
If you stroke it and have all the things mentioned, that will get you there but by then you could have bought a new supercharger.

I just rebuilt my 99 Cobra Motor (bored the cylinders .020 over Forged Rods and Pistons)and with the current combo I have my tuner is predicting right at the 300 RWHP level when we Dyno tune it, so to get 100 more you gonna need a power adder!
I kept the stock cams and only milled the heads for flatness, with more aggressive cams and stroking it your only gonna get at most 40 more HP,add 15-20 with head porting and your still at only 360 like 2oo5 GT said..
And 60lb injectors for a non-forced induction motor is overkill, 42's are more than fine, 36's would work too.

Thumbs up 60# injectors

Thanks for the help on this and will continue to look at everything. The reason for the 60# injectors is simple I am getting a great deal on them and the tuner stated that you cut back on the duty cycle with the bigger injectors. Also if I do S/C the car I should be using the 60's. More input is always needed since I am old school push rod engine man.
