Does anyone out there know how to hook up a Sunpro tach, or any tach on the 2003 SVT Cobra....?? I followed all instructions supplied and added the tach driver and still dosnt work...help...

I was told that you need to go to the large 42 pin wiring harness under the hood that is located on the passenger side of the car where the fender and the fire wall meets. You have to pop off the plastic cover which will expose thewhere the wires enter the connector and the wire pin numbers. You need to locate pin # 34 which should be in the corner of the connector. Depending on the year of your car the wire color can be red, red with green stripe or white with a blue stripe. Cut this wire in half so that you now have two halves, hook the red wire of the adapter to the cut half coming from the connector and the red & green of the adapter to the other half. Ground the black wire of the adapter to a good spot on your car and the gray wire of the adapter should give you a good tach signal.

The factory tach works just fine why butcher a nice car with a hideous tach.... especially a Sunpro

hey there. if your looking for a signal to send to your tach, u can get one from a green wire that's located near the injector wiring harness right beside the blower on the driver side. it'll take a min for u to find and it is in a single black plastic wire loom. the wire it's self sticks out and makes a little loop about 5" long. just tap into it and it'll save u a lot of time money and trouble. let me know how it goes
