Default help on motor and trans swap

What are the differences between the 99 cobra and 97 cobra. The reason I am asking is because some stoned and drunk girl smacked into my beautiful 99 cobra and totalled it. Well I bought it back and I am going to be putting the motor and trans in a 97 that I just bought. I was just wondering what troubles I am going to run into. Its going to be on a weekend with my uncle and I and I don't want to have to stop because we need to order something. Thanks guys!

Thats horrible man! did you get hurt? I think it should be a easy swap. I believe you will have to delete the control box for them dumb intake port plates that open under heavy acceleration. everything else should be little things. lol you know how it is though, things never work out as fast as they were planned. have fun on your swap, let us know how it goes and take some pics

the swap is going to be everything, intake all the way through the headers. Do you think I will have to swap the ecu? Yeah I know what you mean about the planning situation. I will defineatley take pics.

If you are going to swap everything you shouldn't have any problems and I have no idea if you plan on taking the engine out from the top or bottom but it's easier taking it from the bottom.
