will a 97 cobra convertible rear end fit on my 98 cobra coupe? and how are 3:90 gears? can i get some help please?

I think that it should bolt right in. get some more input to be sure but they are basically the same car. For gears thats a tough one depends on what you want. the 4V motor likes the rpms. I'm doing a lot of thinking on just that subject I'm leanning to 4:10's I think I'm going to put a 6 speed trans in to replace the piece on SH*t borg warner thats in my 98 cobra. A good middle of the road gear is 3:73's but I think I would stay-away from the odd balls might be a little hard to recalibrat your speedo. just my .02. best thing is to ask ? and read read read. good luck with your ride and I hope I helped some *

I debated the gears for a long time. And went with 4:10's and love them. I would not go any lower than 4:10's. If I did not do so much highway driving I would of went with 4:30's

I am currently running 4.30 gears in my 96 SVT Cobra. They are great, even for a daily driven car. At first I thought that they were going to be way too much from all I've heard and read, but when I put them in I had a change of mind, they are not that bad at all. I definitely recommend them.

Most guys i know, they drop in 4.10's in the Cobras, minus Terminators, and love them.
