Question Variable geometry on 1998 Cobra

I'm feeling a surge in my car. Is this normal to feel the variable runners open and close? It seems to happen at the right rpm about 3200. I just cleaned the MAF and the throttle body. I stalled new spark plugs. everything seems to be in good shape. Just like to know if that is what it is or something else I need to look at.
thanks for any help

Default Hangs,

i have noticed the same around 3k RPMs where she hangs then lets go. i just got my wires and plugs in and will check it out over the weekend. i was explined my issue could be the stock wires at 115k.

Will mine has only 83k on it and my wires look good. Just seems a little strange that it happens at the rpm that the runners open and that its happening on your car to It's not a big deal but I want to make sure that it's not something that could be come bad. thanks for your input let us know if went away or not and again thanks

Yeah it's normal, I've felt that for years on my 1996 cobra, kinda feels like an old 4 barrel carb hitting the secondaries? Same principle, Ford staged the intake on these cars

My friend's 96 cobra, during his dyno tune, they said they were opening/closing at the wrong times, after they fixed the issue, his car responded alot better.

svt, I am sorry i guess i spoke outside my lane....

my neighbor and I did the tune up yesterday. OMG night and day diffrence. There is no hang time and she goes all the way to cut off without delay. I am so happy with the new plugs and wires. I understand about the runers opening at those rpms.

Thanks for your support and great information.
