Failing emissions with 04 Cobra

I'm looking at a 04 cobra that is for sale. On the Carfax report I noticed that it failed the NY emissions two years in a row. The first time it failed it was retested the next day. The mileage was 200 miles more and it passed. The following year it failed the emissions again, next day on the Carfax report it passed but the mileage was 1400 miles more. There is only 45,500 miles on the car. The last inspection was at 42,000 and it passed. I don't know if there were any aftermarket pieces on the car at the time of the inspections. Does anyone know how they list info on the Carfax report? Whats the deal with the mileage? Did they fudge up the mileage or did the owner of the car really drive 1400 miles in one day? So what do you think? Is this an issue?

probably fudged up on it, 1400 miles the following day would be a hardcore driver. I'm sure it has some aftermarket stuff done to it.
